Twilight is the moment when history begins its resistance to projection. New York is the projection space. Figures standing there, blocked in a movie frame, fixed in a posture. They are just types projected in a possible genre. They are sliding by, one after another. Between, it is necessary to invent a story.

The idea was to comment the artist's situation at this exhibition, but also more generally, the actual impossibility to take place in an ideology (to face the upcoming capitalism) and the necessity for each individual to re-create his story. This story-telling need is also strongly implemanted in New-York : Every person has a personal story to tell that makes her special, specific, different. By taking out images of movies telling stories, I wanted to bring in the possibilty to re-invent other stories, and point out that process for the artistic production.
